Summer is in full swing, and with it comes a revamped summer menu from Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta’s gastropub, ArtBar. Brand new refreshing cocktails, mouthwatering entrees, and light desserts make ArtBar the perfect place to spend a hot summer night.
Start the night with light and delicious cocktails, from a Georgia Mule, to a Mixed Berry Mojito, the perfect combination of rum, vanilla vodka, fresh blueberries, mint and sweet and sour mix. The Tiki Blossom is a must-try with its refreshing mix of rum, elderflower liqueur, lime, grenadine and club soda. Or try the Hawaiian Dream: vanilla vodka, Grand Marnier®, pineapple juice, lime and grenadine. That’s just a sampling of what’s waiting for you at the bar.
Summer entrees provide a taste of the sea and a few Southern favorites, our answer to Surf and Turf. From the surf, try the Mustard Seed Crusted Salmon, a pan-seared Scottish filet accompanied by shitake mushroom vermicelli cake, roased snow peas, carrots and Brussels sprouts with teriyaki mustard butter sauce. Treat yourself to the Chilean Sea Bass, a butter-roasted filet accompanied by crawfish mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus with lobster and ham hock broth. A delicacy in the South, Shrimp and Grits are an unquestionable staple on this summer menu — sautéed jumbo shrimp, garlic and Parmesan cheese grits with roasted bell peppers, Vidalia onions and mushrooms. From the turf, savor the Agave Glazed 12-Ounce Pork Chop, our sublime version of a Southern favorite — a marinated bone-in chop served with pineapple salsa, creamed rice pilaf, broccolini and carrot red cabbage confetti. Or enjoy the Oven Roasted Chicken Breast, featuring a Coca-Cola™ and herb-brined Parisian breast, Yukon gold mashed potatoes and Southern-style green beans with maple jus.
Finish your meal with one of a delightful trio of light desserts. The Watermelon Pana Cotta features a combination of buttermilk mousse, Chantilly cream and almond biscotti. Indulge in the Dark Cherry Cheesecake, sure to please with its sweetened dark cherries, white chocolate sauce and whipped cream toppings. Or top off your experience with the Peach Tart Tatin, a French twist on a staple Georgia dessert – sliced peaches, brown sugar and rhubarb ice cream.
If you’re not in the mood for a full meal, but still want to enjoy a nice evening in a great atmosphere, visit ArtBar for Wine Down Wednesday. Enjoy wine and light appetizer pairings while listening to live music every Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
