Good News from Sonesta ES Suites Birmingham

Good news is always welcome, and and Sonesta Culture of Caring is always top of mind. As we have been working to get our newest Sonesta ES Suites up and running throughout the US, one story in particular warmed our hearts.

During conversion week at the new Sonesta ES Suites Birmingham in Alabama, the GM of our Sonesta ES Suites Parsippany , Chris Perren, came across a hungry and abandoned puppy near the property. Chris spent time trying to find the puppy’s owners, checking in with a local animal clinic and other places to see if anyone was looking for him. In the meantime, the puppy got a new leash, collar, and plenty of food. In the end, with no one claiming the pup, Chris cancelled his flight back to New Jersey, rented a car, and drove 950 miles with his new best friend, now named Sonny after Sonesta founder Sonny Sonnabend. Sonny is adjusting well to his new life in a happy home; he is even learning some tricks! Welcome to the Sonesta family, Sonny!

Sonesta loves dogs, and all of our Sonesta ES Suites are dog-friendly! Recently our Sonesta ES Suites Burlington Vermont celebrated National Dog Day with a special Everyday Surprise just for the four-legged guests! Doggy bags filled with toys and treats were a hit with dogs staying at the property, and their owners loved them as well! The next time you want to travel and don’t want to leave your furry friend behind, see if there’s a Sonesta ES Suites at your destination, or better yet, plan your destination with one of our hotels in mind!

  1. What a fantastic story! It actually brought tears to my eyes…our “kids” are all muts:) How great that there were goodie bags for the pups. I don’t travel much, but will definitely book at Sonesta properties when I travel. I love that they welcome our four legged companions!!
