Meet the GM: Paul Wilkins, Sonesta ES Suites Andover/Burlington

The star of our latest Meet the GM story is Paul Wilkins, the Dual General Manager of Sonesta ES Suites Andover Boston and Sonesta ES Suites Burlington Boston. Paul is an integral part of ensuring these hotels run smoothly, and his dedication and leadership abilities make him an invaluable part of our Sonesta family. We did a Q&A with Paul to get to know him a little better — check out what he had to say!

Q: What do you like most about working within and leading a hotel (or your hotels)?  

A: I enjoy working with our team to create memorable moments for our guests and staff. Having the opportunity to create a positive environment to help people grow and learn.

Q: During your time with Sonesta – what have you enjoyed most? 

A: I have really enjoyed working in such a close group and being able to interact with both our corporate office and our hotel teams.

Q: What has been your hotel’s most successful Everyday Surprise? 

A: We did an autumn everyday surprise with apple cider doughnuts and spiced hot chocolate.

Q: If you weren’t a hotelier, what would you be? 

A: Either a teacher or an entrepreneur.

Q: What do you enjoy most about living in the greater Boston area? 

A: I really enjoy the diverse, exciting and fast paced environment. It is also a great place to be connected to what is going on in the world.

Q: Name your favorite place to visit—  any destination in the world. 

A: I really enjoy Spain and Portugal, and have been multiple times.

Q: Name three items you absolutely do not travel without. 

A: Passport, headphones, and a camera.

Q: What is something your guests would be surprised to know about you? 

A: I lived on a sailboat for 6 months in Hawaii.
