We are getting in the spirit of the holiday season at Sonesta, and while this includes decorations and special events at our hotels, it also includes opportunities to have fun while helping our local communities. Our corporate team loves a chance to get out in the community to serve. . . we even volunteered on a farm once! This year we visited Pine Street Inn to not just present a donation – but to get busy chopping vegetables!
Our sous chef skills were put to the test as we chopped 1,500 pounds of vegetables, impacting 6,000 meals during a one day Chop-A-Thon at the facility, which partners with homeless individuals in Greater Boston to help them move from the streets and shelter to a home and assists formerly homeless individuals in retaining housing. Pine Street Inn serves nearly 2,000 homeless men and women each day.
