Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island is embracing summer fun with a pair of brand-new Food Is Art offerings.
First, if the warm soothing sun and a stunning beach locale have you hankering for ice cream, you’re in luck! Because the resort is thrilled to announce the recent opening of Sonesta Scoops Ice Cream Shoppe, located right outside Heyward’s Restaurant. All the ice cream is locally crafted, so you can enjoy the wholesome goodness of South Carolina’s dairy farms. And if summertime ice cream is all about the toppings for you, we’ve got plenty … and they’re all included.
You can also head down to the beach for Sandbar Saturday Nights at the Sandbar at Marker 72 beach bar. Most Saturday nights through August (except on July 20 and 27), the resort opens the popular Oceanfront Pavilion to all for a fun, relaxing, and family-friendly evening of games (cornhole and ping pong, anyone?), drink specials, delicious Low Country cuisine, and live music from a local band. “Our goal for Sandbar Saturday Nights is to create a comfortable, casual environment for resort guests and the local community to enjoy together,” said Jay Wiendl, general manager of the resort.
There’s no better way to spend Saturday night on Hilton Head Island than in this festive atmosphere, taking in sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and resort’s lagoon. So come on by, grab a table under the pavilion, and enjoy the charming ambiance and rustic décor of the island’s most inviting beach bar!
Plus, join us for special Independence Day and Labor Day celebrations on Thursday, July 4, and Sunday September 1!
Low Country food stations are available for $32.95 per person. Reservations are not required, but are available for larger parties by calling 843.341.1850. Self-parking is available at the resort on a complimentary basis, based on space availability.
