World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

July 30 is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, a day where the United Nations affirms its commitment to “stop criminals from ruthlessly exploiting people for profit and to help victims rebuild their lives”.

At Sonesta, we are committed to working to end human trafficking and are proud to have partnered with ECPAT USA, a tourism initiative dedicated to end the trafficking of children. In 2016, we made our support official by signing ECPAT’s Tourism Child-Protection Code of Conduct  (The Code). On this day and every day, we recognize that e all have a responsibility to do our part in putting an end to human trafficking.
