We love to meet and work with members of the communities where our hotels are located. On October 17, our Sonesta ES Suites throughout the US opened their doors to their neighbors for food, fun, and friendship as they held open houses, gave tours, and got to share what makes Sonesta ES Suites #surprisinglydifferent.
Many of our hotels included a #CultureofCaring component to their open houses, collecting food, toys, pumpkins, and more to be shared with those community members in need.
At Sonesta ES Suites Houston – NASA Clearlake, visitors filled boxes with food for a local shelter and lent their creative talents to decorate pumpkins to brighten the holiday for shelter residents. A great time was had by all, and we are thankful to everyone who visited and participated.
Always friends of the local children’s hospital, Sonesta ES Suites Colorado Springs kicked off a holiday toy drive during their open house. The drive goes through December 12, giving Colorado Springs area local plenty of time to brighten the season for hospitalized children.
At Sonesta ES Suites Auburn Hills – Detroit, a food collection for Lighthouse, which provides meals and other resources for the homeless, will go through mid-November; local residents are encouraged to drop non-perishable food items at the hotel.
For the entire month of October, to coincide with University of Arizona parents’ weekend and homecoming. our Sonesta ES Suites Tucson family held a food drive for the campus pantry at the University. All food collected is going to help feed hungry students.
As we move into the holiday season, our hotels will lead other initiatives to serve their communities. Stay tuned to our blog to see what they are up to!
