As summer started winding down, #TeamSonesta got even busier; in addition to welcoming our hotel guests, we also found ways to give back to our local communities, both for National Food Bank Day and for back-to-school. Our #CultureofCaring isn’t just part of who we are at Sonesta, it is something we truly love and lean into. Living this culture provides us with opportunities to help our communities and each other, to learn, to have fun, and to Go Beyond as individuals and as a company.

In San Antonio, Sonesta ES Suites San Antonio Downtown wowed us with their contributions, both financial and hands on volunteerism, to the San Antonio Food Bank for National Food Bank Day.

They not only raised and donated $1,520 for the food bank, but through volunteer hours, they secured a total of 10,640 meals for the community.

Well done, team Sonesta ES Suites San Antonio!

Meanwhile, in Jacksonville, Sonesta ES Suites Jacksonville, recently busy building houses for Habitat for Humanity, turned their community efforts into a competition to see what department could collect the most food for a local food pantry. Guests also got involved, and the housekeeping team came out on top with the most food items collected.

Back-to-school was made more fun at TJ Lee Elementary in Irving, Texas, thanks to the efforts of Sonesta Simply Suites Dallas/Las Colinas. Their school supply drive was a huge success, with carloads of supplies dropped off at the school. We hope the students there have a great year!
