The Sonesta #CultureofCaring allows us to give back to our communities in many ways. Whether we are helping to build homes for those in need or collecting food or toys for our communities, or taking care of our planet, giving back is just part of who we are.
This November, our focus service hotels’ client initiative is giving back to Wounded Warrior Project®, an organization committed to helping those with PTSD. Since 2003, Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) has been meeting the growing needs of warriors, their families, and caregivers — helping them achieve their highest ambition. WWP supports physical wellness, mental wellness, career and VA benefits counseling, and an independence program which provides long-term support to catastrophically wounded veterans living with injuries that impact independence, such as a moderate to severe brain injury, spinal cord injury, or neurological condition.
On average, 49 injured veterans and their family members register for WWP’s life-saving programs every single day. Thanks to the passion and commitment of friends and supporters who enable us to fulfill our mission, warriors never pay a penny for the resources they need and deserve — they paid their dues on the battlefield.
Through the purchase of Giving Good Cards for colleagues and clients, our team will be directly supporting WWP; a portion of each card’s proceeds goes to the organization. As we say thank you to our clients and celebrate the holiday season, we also give thanks for the service and sacrifice of veterans and their families.
