The Chase Hotel opened September 29, 1922, nine stories high and built in just nine months. Owner Chase Ullman introduced his coup as the “largest and costliest residential hotel in any city approaching St. Louis in size.” Source

The hotel saw its way through Prohibition, survived a Great Depression foreclosure, and has been home to world class entertainment, including a wrestling league.
