When it comes to the Sonesta #CultureofCaring, teamwork is always the best approach. We love to see our hotels collaborating on their community initiatives, and we are proud of the recent contributions Sonesta ES Suites Jacksonville and Sonesta Simply Suites Jacksonville made during a visit to Hubbard House.
Hubbard House is a full-service certified domestic violence center that has answered more than 108,750 hotline calls and sheltered more than 47,000 survivors and their children in its life-saving and life-changing 45-year history. The agency’s impact can be measured in suffering spared, lives liberated and tragic deaths avoided in their local community.
The Sonesta Jacksonville teams banded together to collect boxes full of food and other supplies that are always in need at Hubbard House. With 116 beds at the facility, these items will directly impact those staying there, and Hubbard House happily received them.
Hubbard House is an organization near and dear to one of our Sonesta team members, who is a 10 year survivor and who was supported at one time from the Hubbard House. It was extra special for her to be able to put together this #CultureofCaring initiative to give back to a place that helped her so much. The organization has since reached out to her about other opportunities to work together, including being a speaker to Specified Safe groups for women in the shelters.
