January is National Mentoring Month, and if you follow us on LinkedIn, you may have seen our introduction to mentors who are part of new apprenticeship program launched in conjunction with American Hotel & Lodging Association and AHLEI – American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
Our hotel leaders have decades of experience to offer, and as part of the program, are sharing that experience, along with their time, as mentors to develop future hospitality leaders.

As part of the mentorship program, mentors and apprentices work together throughout the work week to develop competencies and skills outlined for them, and a monthly performance review of the mentee is also completed. The program also includes self-paced work for the apprentice, a bi-weekly check in call, and an upcoming speaker series. In addition to work with their mentors, participants in the program have access to AHLA Certifications Funded by the AHLA Foundation.
