Welcome to the latest feature in our Hospitality Leadership series! Today we feature Chris Trick, SVP/CMO – Franchise for Sonesta’s Global Franchising Organization.
Appointed to the role in September 2020, Chris brings more than 20 years of experience in advancing franchise growth initiatives in the hospitality and real estate industries, among others. His focus has been on raising brand profiles, enhancing brand image, and strengthening the messaging to franchisees and guests, along with driving contribution to franchisees and licensees, which includes ensuring appropriate brand standards.
As a pivotal part of the team helping launch the Sonesta Franchise platform in 2021 – Chris created an integrated campaign that told the industry the story of Sonesta’s acquisition of Red Lion, through the transition concluding with the launch of 4 of Sonesta’s legacy brands for domestic franchising. In his role with Sonesta, Chris oversees B2B and B2C initiatives, Revenue Management, Distribution, Ecommerce, Field and Brand Marketing and Communications for the franchise division.
A graduate of Texas A & M University, Chris held several prior marketing leadership roles, including Realogy Holdings Corp., Marriott International, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
