Sunday, July 19 is National Daiquiri Day, and we couldn’t think of a more refreshing cocktail for a summer Sunday! The daiquiri was invented in the early 1900’s in Cuba, as a way to cool down in the hot and humid summer weather. While there are many forms of daiquiris out there, including fruity and frozen, we are fans of The Hemingway, served chilled to perfection at The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel.
While we eagerly await the reopening of The Clift, we are happy to share their recipe for The Hemingway so that you can celebrate National Daiquiri Day at home. Cheers!
2 oz Mt Gay Black Barrel Rum
1 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
