Q: What do you like most about working within and leading a hotel?
I enjoy most working alongside my team, motivating them and helping them reach their goals. I also enjoy connecting with our guests and ensuring we are providing great experiences during their stay.

Q: Since joining Sonesta – what opportunity have you enjoyed the most?
I joined Sonesta, March 3rd. Just a couple of weeks later, the world changed thanks to COVID-19. What I have enjoyed most, is having the opportunity to navigate this “new normal” and finding creative ways to maintain the operation and keep the team members engaged. I have also enjoyed having a voice that has been supported on all levels throughout Sonesta.

Q: In your opinion, what has been your hotel’s most successful Everyday Surprise?
My awesome team! The biggest surprise was how my hotel teams rallied together to really support each other while trying to navigate and adjust to the changes as a result of COVID. My team is empowered to take care of our guests and have pulled together as one unit. They show up every day with a smile and ready to serve our guests and help each other.

Q: If you weren’t a hotelier, what would you be?
I would be a teacher/trainer or public speaker.

Q: What do you enjoy most about living in greater Atlanta area?
Atlanta is a great city rich in history and diversity. I love the landscape, the food, and all the attractions. There is always something to do in Atlanta.

Q: Name your favorite place to visit — any destination in the world.
Italy holds a special place in my heart. It was the first overseas trip taken with my son. Although, Amsterdam was pretty cool too.

Q: Name three items you absolutely do not travel without.
My passport, electronic devices, and my make-up.

Q: What is something your guests would be surprised to know about you?
My guests would be surprised to know that I am a published author.
